Cold applied bitumen gives you the protective qualities of bitumen without a boiler, a torch or an open flame, which makes it the practical choice inside occupied buildings, in confined spaces, and on any site where hot work permits are a problem.
It brushes, rolls or sprays on directly from the container and is equally useful as a primer beneath membranes, as a damp-proof coating on foundation walls, and as a protective coat on metalwork and gutters.

The surface must be free of dust, oil and loose material. Emulsion grades tolerate a damp surface; solvent grades need it dry.
Stir thoroughly before and during use to keep the product uniform.
Apply an even coat by brush, roller or spray, working well into pores and corners.
Apply the second coat at right angles once the first is touch dry, to eliminate pinholes.
Where the coating will be buried, protect it with board or a screed before backfilling.
