A machine base is only as good as the grout under it. Ordinary sand-cement shrinks as it cures, leaving voids and edge gaps that turn into vibration, bolt loosening and eventually cracked plinths.
Non-shrink grout expands slightly in the plastic state to compensate for that shrinkage, filling the space completely and transferring load evenly. We supply both cementitious grout for general structural work and epoxy grout where chemical attack, vibration or very high early strength is involved.
Supplied to contractors and builders, or supplied and applied by our own teams with a written warranty.
| Type | Cementitious non-shrink / epoxy grout |
|---|---|
| Compressive strength | Typically 25–35 MPa at 1 day, 60–80 MPa at 28 days |
| Expansion | Controlled positive expansion in the plastic state |
| Flow | Flowable to fluid consistency, adjustable with water ratio |
| Application thickness | 10 mm to 100 mm per lift (aggregate extended for deeper pours) |
| Working time | Approximately 30 – 45 minutes at 30 °C |
| Chloride content | Nil |

25 kg moisture-resistant bags. Epoxy grout supplied as a pre-weighed three-part kit.
The sequence our teams follow, and the sequence we recommend to contractors buying the material from us.
Roughen and clean the concrete base, remove all laitance, oil and loose material, then saturate to a damp surface-dry condition.
Fix leak-tight formwork with a head box on the pouring side and a small vent on the far side.
Add powder to the measured water and mix mechanically for 3–5 minutes to a lump-free, flowing consistency.
Pour continuously from one side only so air is pushed ahead of the grout. Never vibrate, because it causes segregation.
Cure exposed edges with wet hessian or a curing compound for at least 3 days.
