Geocell is a collapsed honeycomb of welded HDPE strips that expands on site into a three-dimensional grid. Filled with soil, sand, gravel or concrete, it confines the fill laterally so it can no longer spread under load.
That confinement transforms weak fill into a stiff, load-bearing mattress, letting you build access roads over soft ground, hold soil on steep slopes, and protect channel beds from erosion with locally available material instead of imported aggregate.

Level and compact the subgrade; place geotextile separator where the subgrade is soft or silty.
Stretch panels to full expansion and hold with stakes so the cells stay open and square.
Join adjacent panels with clips or staples to form a continuous mattress.
Place infill from a low height, overfilling by about 50 mm, and work from one end without driving over open cells.
Compact the infill and finish with the surface layer specified for the application.
