Granite is significantly harder and less porous than marble, which is why it is specified where the surface has to survive real punishment: a kitchen counter that meets hot pans and knives, a building entrance that takes hundreds of people a day, an external facade exposed to weather.
It resists scratching, staining and acids far better than marble, holds its polish under heavy traffic, and needs very little maintenance over its life.

For counter tops, a physical or digital template is taken from the fitted cabinets.
Slabs are cut, cut-outs formed for sinks and hobs, and edges profiled.
The substrate is checked for level, strength and correct support at cut-outs.
Pieces are fixed with the correct adhesive or mechanical anchors for cladding work.
Joints are filled and colour matched, then the surface is polished and sealed where required.
