SBR is the workhorse of concrete repair. Added to a cement slurry it becomes a bonding bridge that grips old concrete; added to mortar or screed it improves adhesion, flexural strength and water resistance while cutting shrinkage cracking.
It is inexpensive, easy to use and dramatically improves the durability of ordinary site mortar. We supply it in bulk for contractors and in small packs for repair jobs, along with the correct mix ratios for each use.

The sequence our teams follow, and the sequence we recommend to contractors buying the material from us.
Chip out unsound concrete, remove dust and oil, and saturate the substrate to a damp surface-dry condition.
Blend SBR, water and cement to a thick brushable slurry, free of lumps.
Brush the slurry firmly into the surface, filling all pores. Do not leave puddles.
Apply the repair mortar or screed while the bond coat is still tacky, never after it has dried.
Keep the repair damp for at least 3 days or apply a curing compound.
