Heat Proofing & Cool Roof
Waterproofing

Bring the roof temperature down and the cooling bill with it

An exposed dark roof slab in Karachi can cross 65 °C on a summer afternoon. That heat conducts straight into the top floor, drives up air-conditioning load, and makes the slab expand and contract enough to crack the very waterproofing that is protecting it.

Heat proofing attacks the problem at the surface. A high-reflectance coating bounces most of the solar radiation back before it becomes heat, and where more is needed we add insulation board or an insulated screed beneath the waterproofing layer.

Supplied to contractors and builders, or supplied and applied by our own teams with a written warranty.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High solar reflectance, so less solar radiation is absorbed by the slab
  • Lower slab surface temperature, verified by on-site readings
  • Lower air-conditioning load and running cost
  • Reduces thermal movement, protecting the waterproofing beneath
  • Waterproof and heat-reflective in a single system
  • Board and screed options where higher insulation value is required
  • Extends the life of the roof slab and the coating system

Where It Is Used

  • RCC roof slabs and terraces of homes and offices
  • Factory and warehouse metal shed roofs
  • Cold storage roofs and walls
  • External walls with heavy afternoon sun exposure
  • Water tanks exposed to direct sun
  • Portacabins and site offices

Packaging & Supply

Coatings in 20 kg pails; insulation boards in standard 1200 × 600 mm sheets.

Method

How It Is Applied

The sequence our teams follow, and the sequence we recommend to contractors buying the material from us.

Survey

We measure the existing roof surface temperature and assess the slab condition and drainage falls.

Repair and waterproof

Cracks and drainage are corrected and the waterproofing layer applied first.

Insulate if specified

Insulation board or insulated screed is laid where the design calls for it.

Apply reflective coat

Two coats of high-reflectance coating are applied at right angles to full coverage.

Verify

Surface temperature is measured again after cure so the improvement is documented, not assumed.
